Had an absolute blast at Daviot! The big salads at nearby Cafe Ginger were just the thing after a long day of exploring. Linda’s welcoming vibe made us feel right at home, and meeting her adorable dogs was a delightful bonus!
The breakfast rules felt a bit stuck in the past. Asking for cereal at 7:30 instead of 8 got a stern response, which took away from the otherwise cozy atmosphere.

Cleanliness could be improved. under the bed was scruffy!!! The view of the owner's backyard was less than pleasant, featuring dog waste!!! Noise disturbances started early in the morning, disrupting sleep!!!

What stands out – both good and bad
The hostess was delightfully welcoming, offering helpful tips about the area. Breakfast choices were plentiful, and the room ambiance was warm, making it a comfortable retreat.
Though the setup was appealing, cleanliness was slightly lacking, and noise from the corridors in the mornings disrupted our sleep sensations.

the room was a tiny box, and I had to endure the 7am commotion of banging doors and hoovering—absolutely delightful. not to mention the view of the owners backyard, quite picturesque with the dog turds. I almost thought about a good review, but I didn’t get my complimentary gesture, so here we are.

The location was ideal, just a short stroll to the town centre and close to the seafront. Parking was hassle-free with a provided permit which added a really nice touch. The host was exceptionally welcoming and shared plenty of useful tips about the area.
The breakfast timings could benefit from being a bit more flexible.

During our stay, we enjoyed visiting Rozelle Park for a fantastic outdoor music festival that perfectly suited our teenagers' tastes. The serene atmosphere and sprawling lawns were a hit with everyone, and we also appreciated the ease of getting around town.
In my wife’s opinion, there should be more family activities available.

Comfy stay with a great hostess
I had a lovely time during my 3-night stay! Linda was a perfect hostess, and the family room was airy, large, and very comfortable. The room had great coffee facilities and a good TV. Plus, the full breakfast options were delicious and served to order. On the downside, I found the noise from the corridors in the mornings a bit disruptive, which made it hard to sleep in.

It was just a commendable fit for a quick stopover in Ayr with very good value for money. The nearby Cafe Ginger had great salads that were perfect for a late lunch. Make sure to ask about the parking permit.
